In Illinois, the Secretary of State administers all driver’s licensing functions, including but not limited to, driver’s license reinstatement hearings. In other words, the office functions as what is often referred to as the “DMV”.

The American Psychiatric Association

The APA publishes the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5). The DSM-5 guidelines for substance use disorders govern the risk classification for DUI offenders based upon the symptoms identified. The risk level assigned via the DSM criteria determines the number of treatment hours the offender will be required to complete.
